Joey Oliver is a journalist, YouTuber, and now author of the book American History Z: Gen Z's Journey to the Far Right. He joined Tony Mazur on the Check Your Brain podcast to discuss his story in adopting right-leaning politics, how the Zoomers differ greatly from older generations when it comes to these issues, and how men and women have become hostile voting blocs against each other.
Joey will be speaking at this November's American Renaissance conference, which is hosted by Jared Taylor, who wrote the forward to his book. The link to purchase Joey's book can be found here: https://arktos.com/product/american-history-z/

Sarah Braasch is a frequent guest of the Check Your Brain podcast, as she made news in 2018 over a "napping while black" race hoax at Yale. In this episode, she offers her expertise in not only academia, but the DEI industry overall in the West over the sad story of Jason Arday. The youngest professor at Cambridge University recently made news over his plagiarism and embellished claims, or downright lies, about his life and education, culminating in his suicide on August 14th.
Sarah and Tony Mazur discuss the grifting DEI industry, and how they played on white peoples' guilt and good will for profit, along with how academia can be held accountable.
To this day, Sarah is still struggling with living expenses, so if her story and this interview affected you, consider donating to her GoFundMe, located at this link: https://www.gofundme.com/f/w6xyg-sarah-braasch-legal-fund

In a time where younger Millennials and Gen Z (those under 40) are concerned about the rising cost of goods, including $20 burritos, even the conservatives thumb their noses at the youth, believing them to be lazy and wanting their avocado toast handed to them. As Check Your Brain host Tony Mazur points out, rather than ignore the pleas of the young, perhaps try listening to them. Maybe the deck is stacked, preventing them from buying homes, or that making $100k a year isn't as massive as that once was.
In this episode, Tony discusses why Zoomers feel this way, as the old playbook of obtaining a college degree doesn't work, and how people are competing against AI and mass migration for jobs.

It's pretty obvious to most that the Republicans will get walloped in the midterms. They had the House, Senate, presidency, and two-thirds of the Supreme Court, yet they prioritized another country's interests (and megadonors) over their own. Check Your Brain's Tony Mazur believes the Republicans will inevitably walk back the talk of mass deportations, even though that is betrayal of the highest order among MAGA voters.
Tony also touches on how a new book shows liberals hate conservatives far more than conservatives hate liberals, and the author has the proof as a DNC insider.

In this solo episode of the Check Your Brain podcast, host Tony Mazur delves into some of the political and cultural issues that have set up a seemingly immovable partition among the sexes. From being girl bosses to embarrassing one’s spouse on TikTok over trivial complaints, to divorcing a husband because he wants to relax after work, one can see why younger men have opted out of the dating market.

In this solo edition of the Check Your Brain podcast, host Tony Mazur delves into one of the biggest soft spots for Millennials: nostalgia for the 1990s. Were those days great that they want to relive them? Is it because popular culture is lame today? Or is this all a trauma response?

Over the weekend, Senator Lindsey Graham died at age 71. Though Check Your Brain podcast host Tony Mazur won't speak ill of the dead, he does talk about the legacy of childlessness and warmongering South Carolina senator leaves behind. While many in MAGA wanted to scale back and become isolationists, Graham wanted more war, and the neocons ended up hollowing out the America First movement and wore it like a skinsuit in 2024.

In the days before Twitter and Instagram, fans would have to pen a personal letter to their favorite celebrity, stamp it, send it through the postal service, and MAYBE said celeb has a chance at reading it, AND THEN the opportunity a response will be sent is quite minuscule.
David Fantle and Tom Johnson were so obsessed with the golden age of Hollywood that, as teenagers, they flew all over the country to interview and soak in their favorite actors on the stage and screen. They put those interviews to print in the book Hollywood Heyday: 75 Candid Interviews with Golden Age Legends.
They spoke with Check Your Brain's Tony Mazur on meeting these larger-than-life figures such as Bob Hope, Lucille Ball, and James Cagney, and they compared eras of film and television to today.

Check Your Brain host Tony Mazur had never seen Van Halen live (he was born the year OU812 was released). He decided to pull the trigger in June of 2026 to see both David Lee Roth AND Sammy Hagar, just eleven days separating the two shows. He shares his experiences in seeing both concerts and how it has become buyer beware when seeing artists or bands born before 1960 perform live today. Some singers and groups can still hack it, while others should get the golden watch and the audience would be better off seeing a tribute band.
